To hear Activision and FreeStyleGames tell it, everything in Guitar Hero Live — which launches Oct. 20 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, as well as unspecified mobile devices — is designed with an eye toward the present and the future. GHTV is a live service with a full schedule of music "programming," and developer FreeStyleGames will continually update it with additional songs after launch. "It's our always-on, 24-hour music network," said Jamie Jackson, co-studio head at FreeStyleGames and creative director on Guitar Hero Live.
